Mission Statement

The Will County Court Services Department shall endeavor to meet its statutory obligations through the development, the implementation, and the promotion of sound organizational practices and the provision of relevant and proven effective offender services.  The Department will strategically employ its resources to facilitate offender change toward a more individually productive and law-abiding lifestyle.
 

Essential to the Department’s mission is the establishment of an organizational environment that encourages offender accountability with a focus of improving community safety.  The Department shall seek to collaborate and partner, where appropriate, with local stakeholders and State agencies in an effort to strengthen our opportunity for success and to provide a pathway for input in meeting mission objectives.

A: Parole is the completion of a sentence, after release from prison.  Probation is an alternative sentence, where an offender is supervised by a Probation Officer while remaining within their community.

A: For Adult Probation: Public parking is available at the Ottawa Street Parking deck at 110 N. Ottawa Street, pay and display parking lots at 68 N. Joliet Street and the Union Station Lot at 14 W. Jefferson Street, and metered on-street parking.
For Juvenile Probation: Parking is free at the River Valley Justice Center parking lot, 3200 W. McDonough Street, Joliet.

The Will County Juvenile Probation is located at the River Valley Justice Center, 3206 W. McDonough Street, Joliet, IL 60431. The general phone number is 815-730-7120.

The Will County Probation Department, Adult Division is open Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Juvenile Division is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM

A: Because both the Adult and Juvenile Probation Departments are located with the buildings containing courtrooms, you are in effect, entering a courthouse.  Therefore the same restrictions to entering any courthouse shall apply:

  1. NO cellphones or audio/recording devices
  2. NO firearms (even those with lawful carry permits) in government buildings and courthouses.
  3. NO food or beverages permitted.
